30 Day Book Challenge - Day 8: The most disturbing book you’ve ever read

Day 8The most disturbing book you’ve ever read.

Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite

This book was very nearly a "did not finish" book for me. The only reason why I kept on listening was to see whether the book had any redeeming qualities before I wrote a negative review. The book contains teenage prostitution, incest (father/son), sex with minors (statutory rape), and rape. There was another occurrence of incest involving a father and daughter that was so offensive that I had to turn my iPod off. You can read more about it at the link to my review above.

What about you? Have you read this book? What did you think?

What is the most disturbing book you've ever read? I would love to hear from you! Just leave a comment below!
