30 Day Book Challenge - Day 13: A book you've read more than once

Day 13: A book you've read more than once.

I haven't read any books more than once since I was a kid! Back then, I did not own many books so I did tend to read and re-read books over and over again.

Now, there are so many books on my TBR list that I want to read that I'd rather discover something new than re-read a book.

The last book that I re-read would be this one:

The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis

I read it aloud to my kids earlier this year, and I haven't read the book since I was a kid myself!

What about you? Do you re-read books?

What book have you read more than once? Do you have a favourite that you like to re-read? I would love to hear from you! Just leave a comment below!

  1. Anne of Green Gables is my comfort book that I re-read.

    1. I think I tried to read that when I was young, and I never managed to finish it! How terribly un-Canadian of me, LOL! I really want to read the entire series. Maybe I will try to tackle that next year!

  2. Harry Potter series is one that I reread every couple of years. I also like the Narnia series.

    1. I am slowly reading the Harry Potter series. I gobbled the first one up when it came out and then had to put the brakes on because I realized that this was exactly the type of book that I wanted to experience with my kids (I didn't have any at that point). Now, my kids are finally old enough to enjoy the series so I'm reading them aloud.

We're also reading the Narnia series, which I never did finish as a child. I read only the first two books in the series!

  3. Le Grand Meaulnes, several times, maybe my most favorite French novel: http://wordsandpeace.com/2012/01/13/i-love-france-13-review-1-2012-le-grand-meaulnes/ [with note on the English titles of it]

  4. I used to re read books when I was younger. Now that I review them I just don't have time. I think I read Twilight twice though.

    1. I loved the Twilight series. I want to re-read it again some day. I know what you mean, Dorine, about having so many review books to read that it feels like you don't have the time to read what you want to read sometimes!
