Corey, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, Geek Girl by Cindy C. Bennett, Dust & Decay by Jonathan Maberry, Ember and Ash by Pamela Freeman, White Cat by Holly Black, etc. I have to admit that 6 of these I read from galleys, but I plan to buy them, so I can read them again :) Thanks for the great giveaway & Happy Holidays!!!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite novel of 2011 was Duane Swierczynski's "Fun and Games", though that may not exactly be your cup of tea. In the UF vein, I quite enjoyed Ryan Clark's "The Rift".

Tough call...I really liked Delirium but I loved the Hunger Games I read that this year...and I've got a groove going with Sookie Stackhouse :)

ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for a good Adult book I would suggest Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks, or The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein.

ReplyDeleteI was really, really impressed with Deb Apodaca's Captivated, and Willow Cross' The Dark Gifts: Birthright. Both are rather short stories, but I fell in love with both of them!

ReplyDeleteThe best book that I read in 2011 was A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini and the best book OF 2011 that I read so far has been Daughter Of Smoke And Bone by Laini Taylor.
I can't chose between Anna and the French Kiss, Divergent, and the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite isn't a YA book, but it's my favourite:D It's called the Fifty Shades series by E.L. James. Another one of my favourites is The Mermaid's Knight by Jill Myles. It's not a YA book too, but I think it's more YA than adult actually.:)

Not sure if I was just in an weird mood but I found Angel Falls by Kristin Hannah very emotional. And I rather like when a book can draw me into the emotions of the story. So that's my recommendation.

ReplyDeleteI have read a lot of really good books this year, one series that pops into my mind is Nancy Holzner's Deadtown series. I have read Deadtown, hope to get book two Hellforged, and recently won a copy of book three Bloodstone! It is a fun series with lots of action going on :) Thank you for your generous sharing.

One of my favorites for this year was Game of Thrones! That book was amazing! It had action, backstabbing, sex, everything you could possible think of. If you like LoR then youd deff like GoT :)
