MY REVIEW:
I read this book with my children. It won the Caldecott Honor for 1955.
I think this is my favourite version of the first American
Thanksgiving that is in short chapter format. The language was suitable for
even my four-year old to understand, and there is just enough information
presented without being overwhelming.
The illustrations by Sewell enhance the story.
MY RATING: 4 stars! We really enjoyed it!!
