Olympic Readathon: Starting Line #OlympicReadathon

The Olympic Readathon has begun!

I have two books that I hope to finish:

by Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer
[reading]

 The Yard
by Alex Grecian
[listening]

Once I finish up with each of those, the next ones that I plan to start are:

by Denise Jaden
[reading]

The Age of Miracles
by Karen Thompson Walker
[listening]

I am also reading a bunch of books to my kids, which I am not going to list here because it would take up too much room. You can check out my Goodreads "Currently Reading Shelf" if you want to see what I'm reading to my kids.

My page count goal is pretty conservative at 600 pages. I am currently spending more time listening to audiobooks than sitting down to read. I have no idea how to translate minutes listened to pages read, so I'm just counting pages read in the traditional sense for my goal.

I will do a wrap-up at the end of the week to show how many pages I read and minutes listened!

Have fun, everyone!

If you want to join me in the readathon, just click on the challenge badge at the beginning of this post to sign up at Retreat by Random House! Many thanks to Random House for hosting!

  1. Well well, fancy seeing you here! Do you think there are just a whole lot of fun challenges and read-a-thons happening right now, or do you think we're in denial and could be in serious danger of becoming read-a-challenge junkies? ;)

I've got a crazy two weeks at work, plus house viewings etc, but I've signed up for 850 pages. I DO have two days off together next week while the town show is keeping regular shoppers the hell away, so I might try to pull off a 24-hour mid-read-a-thon read-a-thon then. Plus the overlap with the Review Copy Cleanup might help!

*coughs and blushes* I think I just answered me own question, didn't I? GOOD LUCK - I'll be waving flags and cheering and thwacking you with a bookmark the whole way! :)

    1. Hey, Ellie! I think we have an addiction :)

I hope you reach your goal! Whew, a 24-hr RAT? I can't do those!!

I'll be looking forward to your updates and seeing what food is fueling you during the RAT! I get a kick out of reading those!! I'll be cheering you on as well!

    1. Thanks, Christa! Are you doing it as well? Age of Miracles sounds interesting. That one is doubling as my book choice for the Random Reader Debut Author Challenge!
