Today's list is:
Top Ten Creepy Book Covers
I'm the type of person that will buy a book based on the cover, without even reading the synopsis to see if it interests me. If it's a beautiful or creepy cover, I'm in!
This time we'll do creepy, so here goes! Here are some books that I've bought just solely on their covers.
The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff
Just why are those sharp utensils hanging over a baby carriage? Hmmm, I still haven't found out! I loved the cover so much that I book the book twice. Actually, I just forgot that I had it already :)
Unwind by Neal Shusterman
(Unwind Dystology, Book #1)

That hand is pretty creepy. It reminds me of X-Files.
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
(Anna, Book #1)
I love this cover! I have a thing for haunted houses, so I love the creepy house in the background with the fog on the ground.
Possessions by Nancy Holder
(Possessions, Book #1)
She looks like she's about the rise out of the water.
The House of Dead Maids by Clare B. Dunkle
Those eyes are pretty freaky.
Envy by Gregg Olsen
(Empty Coffin, Book #1)
Her hair kind of reminds me of the girl from the horror movie, The Ring.
Flu and Fever by Wayne Simmons
(Flu, Books #1 and #2)
Zombies are pretty creepy!
The Priest's Graveyard by Ted Dekker
This graveyard with the trees silhouetted against the sky looks creepy! I wouldn't want to visit there at night.
The Vivisector by Patrick White
That cover just makes me squeamish!
The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro
(The Strain Trilogy, Book #1)
Ditto for this one!

I LOVE creepy book covers--- except maybe not those eyeball ones!! Those are ICK!! Envy and The Replacement are ones I've liked for a long time. Great choices!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle!
DeleteI almost did this same topic! Creepy covers are so fun. Your comments on THE REPLACEMENT made me laugh because I bought the book when it first came out -- based on the creepiness of the cover -- and still haven't read it either!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Thanks, Susan! Hope we both get to knock The Replacement off our TBR soon!!
DeleteI bought The Replacement for the cover too. I haven't read The Priest's Graveyard yet but I liked Ted Dekker's Skin so I'll look out for it.
ReplyDeleteTed Dekker's The Boneman's Daughter is another creepy one!
DeleteThat cover of Unwind is pretty creepy! I'm kind of glad I have a different edition, wouldn't want that one staring at me!
