Kind of a downer of a weekend. My aunt passed away earlier this week and her funeral was yesterday, and my younger daughter has the stomach flu today. Poor girl 😡 she has had a tummy ache for the past couple of days and today the vomiting started. Hopefully it doesn't run through the rest of the household!
As you can see from the pic below, the snow finally hit and I think it's here to stay. I got about another eight bags of leaves bagged but didn't beat the snow so the rest will remain there until Spring!

Sorry about your Aunt. I hope your daughter recovers quickly! Snow visited us as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt. And I hope your daughter feels better soon. I'm getting ready to cover the pool soon as we are finally getting some cooler weather and the popcorn trees are starting to lose their leaves. I don't want to have to get in frigid water to get them out.
ReplyDeleteI remember that snow from MN. I live in NC now and the city does 3 leaf drives over 3 months with the first one last week. Since it rained and was cold - 40 and windy all week, it now looks like I didn't even rake the yard. But the whole curb was full and they came to vacuum it all up. They have a huge truck with a big hose thing and go along the street sucking up all the leaves people have raked to the curb. Now I have a month to rake them to the curb again. The rain broke on Friday and now we are in for a period of sunny days 55-60, almost like fall. YAY! This week I hope to read, relax and cook good food. Here's to a better week!
