Make believe I love you...

Both survivors of the divorce wars, Christy and Martin don't believe in love at first sight and certainly not on a first date. But from the instant they lock eyes, life becomes a sexy, romantic dream come true. That is, until they start playing a strangely intense game of make-believe-a game that's about to go too far.
MY REVIEW:

This is a thriller from James Patterson’s BookShots series. It had an ending that I didn’t see coming!

Christy Moore is recently separated from her wealthy husband, and her friend introduces her to Martin Hawking who is a recent divorcé. They both find that they have common ground with being a bit bitter when it comes to their exes, and they have an attraction to one another. Martin is somewhat of a thrill-seeker, and he introduces Christy to all sorts of risky behaviour such as “dining and dashing,” popping Ecstasy, and engaging in group sex. The excitement keeps ramping up higher and higher, and they are both addicted to the adrenaline rush. Their behaviour becomes more reckless and dangerous. Can they stop before it’s too late?

I liked this one! Their behaviour was a bit out there and intense, and it led to a twist that I didn’t see coming at all! I love it when an author can take me by surprise like that. This is my third one in the BookShots series, and I do find that there is some sacrifice in character development in order to keep the story short. However, I still am a fan of the series and will continue to read them when I'm in the mood for a quicker read!

MY RATING:

3 stars!! It was good, and I enjoyed it.
