Stacking The Shelves and Sunday Post

This meme is hosted by Tynga over at Team Tynga's Reviews, which she describes as follows:

"Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!"

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Mother Nature just doesn't know what she wants this week! We broke a 104-year old record on Thursday with our high of 23.6 degrees Celsius (normal is 9), and it's currently at zero with a windchill in the minuses. Looking ahead, no snow yet in the forecast which is good because that hopefully will give me a chance to get at the yard.

This week, I've been kept busy with repairs to my daughter's closet and the bathroom. No wonder I haven't had any time to read this week! The highlight of my week was going to a Sweet concert. The only original band member, Steve Priest, is now 70 years old! This is what they looked like in their heyday:

And now:

No new new books for me this week!

  1. Your weather is even crazier than mine. We had around 90 this week and I woke up this morning to 60s and breezy. I'll take that over freezing:) It sounds like you've been keeping busy and also having some fun:)

  2. Wow, what a change in the weather! Seems a little early for it to be that cold and snowy, but I'm guessing you're quite a bit north of my latitude (Virginia.) I hope you had fun at your concert, and that the group was as good as they were in their heyday.

  3. I think we had a record last week with either a low temperature or the amount of rain. Can't remember. But it is like Mother Nature is losing her mind. :-) I'm so ready for the cooler weather myself. I had a concert last week, got to see Ed Sheeran. Hope you have a great week!
