Longest Books I’ve Ever Read #TopTenTuesday

This is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, they post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers will answer. Everyone is welcome to join!

Today's list is:

Longest Books I've Ever Read

I admit that big books scare me! I have so many mammoth-sized tomes on my bookshelf, and I'm totally scared to start them. I don't have a lot of sit-down time to read, so reading a long book would take me forever. I prefer to listen to long books, as I can get through them more quickly.

I also find page numbers very misleading, because the font size for a 400-page book can be smaller than one used for a 600-page book. Even when comparing the books on this list, the page numbers aren't necessary from longest to shortest when you go by the length of the audiobook.

It
by Stephen King
44 hrs and 55 mins
1,116 pages

Outlander
by Diana Gabaldon
(Outlander, Book #1)
32 hrs and 38 mins
850 pages

A Prayer for Owen Meany
by John Irving
26 hrs and 51 mins
637 pages

Lover at Last
by J.R. Ward
(Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book #11)
22 hrs and 22 mins
608 pages
*I think every single book in this series is over 600 pages, so I'll just show one.

The Good House
by Tananarive Due
21 hrs and 37 mins
597 pages

Breaking Dawn
by Stephenie Meyer
(Twilight, Book #4)
20 hrs and 28 mins
756 pages
*The other books in the series are quite lengthy as well!

In the Woods
by Tana French
(Dublin Murder Squad, Book #1)
20 hrs and 23 mins
612 pages

Invisible Darkness: The Horrifying Case of Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka
by Stephen Williams
649 pages
This is the only one that I read instead of listening.

So, what are the longest books that you've read? Please let me know in the comments, or leave me a link to your blog post if you are also participating in the meme!
