And so it begins!
I've already raked up eight bags of leaves. Today, I'm hoping to tackle the closing of the pool but that will all depend on the weather. We had some rain yesterday, and it was also really windy. I need a calm, preferably sunny, day so that I don't get all those leaves in the pool.
I won these e-books in the Lazy Days of Summer Giveaway hosted by Mary @ Mary's Garden:
Watching Jenny
by Mary Martinez
Classic Murder: Mr. Romance
by Mary Martinez
Thanks again, Mary!
I snagged this audiobook for free on Amazon (unfortunately it is no longer available, presumably because it's included in this month's selection of free picks of Audible Originals which is a new membership perk):
Emma
by Jane Austen
As mentioned above, Audible introduced a new membership perk which is your choice of two free Audible Originals from the six that are featured each month. Since I already grabbed Emma before this perk was launched, I still had two more picks and here's what I got:
Girls & Boys
by Dennis Kelly
The X Files: Cold Cases
by Joe Harris
Thanks, Audible!
I bought this audiobook (70+ hours) for $0.66 on Amazon:
Oz: The Complete Collection
by L. Frank Baum

What books have you added to your shelves this week? If you are also participating in either of these memes, please leave me the link to your blog post in the comments so that I can come and drool over all your goodies!
haaa yes, the pleasure and work of falling leaves! Good luck with this as Fall has officially not yet begun ;-) Sophie @bewareofthereader
ReplyDeleteI know! My backyard is surrounded by trees on all sides, so I get all my neighbours' leaves as well. It sure makes it feel nice and secluded, but the clean-up is A LOT!
DeleteThank you I grabbed the Oz Audio. Wow, we are experiencing fall weather in the form of rain and cooler temps. Our grass got so long I had to pay someone to cut it because whenever my hubby could it was raining!
ReplyDeleteIt rained yesterday and today, but we've had very little rain all summer. In fact, I can't even remember when I last mowed the lawn! I don't think that I have since July!! Sun is out now, so I must work on the pool!
DeleteThe end of summer is sad, but I love fall. I don’t do well in hot weather. Enjoy your new books!
