Can't-Wait Wednesday: Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney @alicewriterland @Flatironbooks

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Tessa @ Wishful Endings to spotlight and talk about the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they're books that have yet to be released as well. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. Find out more here.

Here is this week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection:

AUTHOR: Alice Feeney
PUBLISHER: Flatiron Books
FORMAT: Hardcover
LENGTH: 258 pages
GENRE: Mystery, Thriller
ISBN: 9781250144843
My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me:
1. I’m in a coma.
2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore.
3. Sometimes I lie.

Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can’t move. She can’t speak. She can’t open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn’t remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from twenty years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

This one sounds like a great psychological thriller! Amber sounds like an unreliable narrator.

What are you waiting on? Please leave a comment in the section below. If you participate in this meme, please leave a link so I can visit your blog!

  1. I saw this book the other day and WOW it sounds so cool! Great choice, I'm definitely adding this to my TBR:-) Gotta love unreliable narrators!

  2. That sounds like a great book. I can see why you're looking forward to reading it!

  3. I've already got this one on my TBR. It does sound good, right?

  4. This is a great pick. It sounds like it will be really good too.

  5. I officially declare 2018 as the year of the thrillers - they're everywhere!
