It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

This weekly meme is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date.

I'm reading:

Here's another Christmas cozy, which I picked up from the library.

SERIES: A Year-Round Christmas Mystery, Book #1
AUTHOR: Vicki Delany
PUBLICATION DATE: November 3, 2015
FORMAT: Paperback
LENGTH: 294 pages
GENRE: Mystery/Cozy, Holidays/Christmas
ISBN: 9780425280805
First in a new series!

In Rudolph, New York, it’s Christmastime all year long. But this December, while the snow-lined streets seem merry and bright, a murder is about to ruin everyone’s holiday cheer…

As the owner of Mrs. Claus’s Treasures, Merry Wilkinson knows how to decorate homes for the holidays. That’s why she thinks her float in the semi-annual Santa Claus parade is a shoe-in for best in show. But when the tractor pulling Merry’s float is sabotaged, she has to face facts: there’s a Scrooge in Christmas Town.

Merry isn’t ready to point fingers, especially with a journalist in town writing a puff piece about Rudolph’s Christmas spirit. But when she stumbles upon the reporter’s body on a late night dog walk—and police suspect he was poisoned by a gingerbread cookie crafted by her best friend, Vicky—Merry will have to put down the jingle bells and figure out who’s really been grinching about town, before Vicky ends up on Santa’s naughty list…

I'm still listening to:

This is from the library, and it's been on my TBR for a long time!

SERIES: Greer Family, Book #1
AUTHOR: Barbara Kingsolver
PUBLISHER: Harper Audio
FORMAT: Unabridged audiobook
LENGTH: 9 hrs and 20 mins
GENRE: Contemporary Fiction
Clear-eyed and spirited, Taylor Greer grew up poor in rural Kentucky with the goals of avoiding pregnancy and getting away.

But when she heads west with high hopes and a barely functional car, she meets the human condition head-on. By the time Taylor arrives in Tucson, Arizona, she has acquired a completely unexpected child, a three-year-old American Indian girl named Turtle, and must somehow come to terms with both motherhood and the necessity of putting down roots.

Hers is a story about love and friendship, abandonment and belonging, and the discovery of surprising resources in apparently empty places.

I just finished:

What are you reading? Have you read any of these books and, if so, what did you think? Please let me know in the comments and, if you are also participating in this meme, leave me a link to your blog post so that I can stop by!

  1. Rest Ye Murdered Gentlemen looks fun, and perfect for this time of year. Plus I've seen book #2 of that series somewhere, probably on a blog. they look fun.

    1. Yes, you're right. The second book in that series is We Wish You A Murderous Christmas.

  2. A Christmas cozy is perfect I am sure at this time. Nice to get to a book that has been on your TBR forever.

    1. My TBR needs to be slashed! If only I could stop adding more books to the mountain, LOL!

  3. I haven't read any of these. If it's in a third printing, the Lucy Stone book must be good. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. I did enjoy it, Kathy! I will definitely read on in the series.

  4. These all look very tempting! Enjoy...and thanks for visiting my blog.
