2011 E-book Reading Challenge

Now that I have an i-Pad, I found yet another challenge to join :)

The one is hosted by The Ladybug Reads.

Here at the challenge details copies from The Ladybug Reads:

This challenge was previously hosted by Alaine at Queen of Happy Endings. When she started looking for new homes for the 2011 challenges, I jumped at the chance to host this one. Since getting a Kobo eReader this past year, I've started reading more e-books. Since e-readers are now available internationally, a lot more people are going to be reading books in digital format. So why not challenge yourself and read even more?

Challenge Guidelines:
1. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate.

--Non-bloggers: Include your information in the comment section.

2. There are seven levels:

-- Curious – Read 3 e-books.

-- Fascinated – Read 6
e-books.

-- Addicted – Read 12
e-books.

-- Obsessed – Read
20 e-books.

-- Possessed – Read
50 e-books.

-- Fanatical – Read
75 e-books.

-- Monomaniacal – Read
100 e-books.

3. Any genre counts.

4. You can list your books in advance or just put them in a wrap-up post. If you list them, feel free to change them as the mood takes you.

5. Challenge begins January 1, 2011 and lasts until December 31, 2011.

6. When you sign up under Mr. Linky, put the direct link to your post about the E-Book Reading Challenge. Include the URL so that other participants can join in and read your reviews and post.

If you'd like some progress bars for your challenge post, you can find the instructions for making them here.

Seeing as how the year is already half-over, I am going for:

Fascinated Level (read 6 e-books)

UPDATE: CHALLENGE COMPLETED!
ADDICTED LEVEL (READ 12 E-BOOKS) COMPLETED!

  1. Oh Darlene, why do you do these things to me, I already have too much on the go lol, ok so question first, do the books that I have already read on my ereader count? Or do I have to start fresh. I might just have to do this challenge lol.

  2. Hey, Nat - I had to get you back for the Outlander challenge you sucked me into ;)

All e-books you have read since Jan 1st count, regardless of when you started the challenge! What's nice about this challenge is that you don't have to link-up your reviews. Just do a wrap-up post at the end of the year!

Come on! Join me! You know you wanna...LOL!

  3. I have embraced ebook reading as I have found many authors now want you to accept books for review in this format. Have fun with the challenge, I just do not think I can commit to joining you though.
