Oh, that's so hard to pick just one! I am going to pick this one from a German fairy tale book that I had growing up, which scarred me, LOL! It's about a boy would not stop sucking his thumbs, so they were cut off with giant scissors! There's even a picture of blood spurting from his thumbs. The name of the fairy tale is Die Geschichte vom Daumenlutscher, which is part of a volume of fairy tales called Der Struwwelpeter by Heinrich Hoffmann. These are not the Disney sanitized versions of fairy tales!
3. Magical beverage that keeps you reading (coffee, tea, water.. etc)
To *keep* me reading, it would definitely be something to keep me alert so that would be coffee:
