Stacking The Shelves and Sunday Post

This meme is hosted by Tynga over at Team Tynga's Reviews, which she describes as follows:

"Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!"

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

I'm pleased to say that last Saturday's snow melted, and we've had a scorcher of a weekend! We actually had a humidex rating, LOL! Yes, even in October!! It was 24 degrees Celsius on Friday, with a humidex of 26 degrees (that's 79 degrees Fahrenheit). I opened up all my windows when I got home from work and the house went up five degrees. Gotta love it! The mercury dips later in the week, so I need to get those snow tires on this afternoon.

I don't think my attire will be quite the same ;)

This was an Audible Daily Deal that I bought this week:

Scythe
(Arc of a Scythe, Book #1)
by Neal Shusterman

This was a goodie that arrived in my mailbox this week:

Nail's Crossing
(Bill Maytubby & Hannah Bond Mystery, Book #1)
by Kris Lackey

Thanks again, Blackstone Publishing!

I won a giveaway hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings for the Tackle Your TBR Read-a-Thon, and this was my pick:

Boundaries Updated and Expanded Edition: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life
by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend
I'm actually taking a nine-week course of this book with a group of people, and I'm loving my library copy so much that I want to own it so I chose this updated and expanded version.

  1. I love it when the weather dips up one more time before it drops and stays down until spring. It feels like a last reprieve.

  5. Years ago a coworker suggested Boundaries to me and I have been forever grateful! I hope you enjoy it and get as much from it as I did!
I am jealous you have snow. I want snow so badly but for the past 2 winters we haven't gotten more than a dusting.
