Cruisin' thru the Cozies Reading Challenge 2012

Hi, everyone! Time for another 2012 Reading Challenge!!

I will be joining this challenge again, which is being hosted by Yvonne at Socrates' Book Review Blog.

I enjoy reading cozy mysteries and wish that I had the time to read more of them! I really want to get through Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone Series (aka Alphabet Mysteries).

UPDATE: I am including the link to the Cozy-Mystery website, which has an article entitled "What Makes a Cozy Just That?", as well as a list of cozies by author and theme.

Here are the details copied from Yvonne's blog:

So, here are the rules...

1. Choose the level you wish to participate:

Level 1 - Snoop - Read at least 6 books
Level 2 - Investigator - Read 7-12 books
Level 3 - Super Sleuth - Read 13 or more books

2. The challenge runs from January 1, 2012 and ends December 31, 2012.

3. You don't have to choose your books in advance. If you do, you can change your list at any time during the year. Books can overlap with other challenges.

4. Books can be in any format - paper, audio, ebooks...it all counts!

5. You don't have to post a review, but I'm sure others would love to know about the books you are reading and may even want to add it to their reading lists.

NOTE: If you don't have a blog and want to participate, that's fine. You don't have to have a blog, just post in the comments section as you finish books.

6. Take the button above, put it on your blog and post about the challenge. Then add your name to Mr. Linky ...Please use the link of your challenge post, not the link to your home page.

Have fun!

I am aiming to complete Level 1 - Snoop (read at least six books).

If you would like to join me in the challenge, click on the challenge badge at the beginning of this post.

I am going to keep track of my progress below (here is what I'm planning on reading, and I will link up my reviews as I go):
  1.
  2. Agatha Raisin and the Vicious Vet by M.C. Beaton (Agatha Raisin, Book 2)
  3. C is for Corpse by Sue Grafton (Kinsey Millhone, Book #3)
  4. D is for Deadbeat by Sue Grafton (Kinsey Millhone, Book #4)
  5. E is for Evidence by Sue Grafton (Kinsey Millhone, Book #5)
  6. F is for Fugitive by Sue Grafton (Kinsey Millhone, Book #6)
  7. G is for Gumshoe by Sue Grafton (Kinsey Millhone, Book #7)
  8. H is for Homicide by Sue Grafton (Kinsey Millhone, Book #8)

  2. I don't believe the Sue Grafton books fall into the cozy category, but as long as you enjoy reading them, that's what counts.

  3. @Vicki: Great! I'll look forward to seeing what you read!

@Yvonne: Thanks again for hosting the challenge again!

@acmo5: Yes, the Grafton books count as cozy mysteries. I will update the my challenge post to include the link to the Cozy-Mystery website which has a list of cozies by authors/titles.
