"Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!"
Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme
This is me:
I told my daughters that I would re-paint their rooms, as the colour scheme was intended for much younger kiddos! I last painted their rooms when I was pregnant with my second, so that was 11 years ago. My teenager no longer wants a Precious Moments border or pink, LOL! This weekend I'm tackling the blue sky ceiling. Yesterday, I did two coats in my older daughter's room and I can see that I'm going to need one more in there. I'm starting off today doing the first coat in my younger daughter's room, then doing the third in the other room, then going back to the first room to do a second coat. Then tomorrow I will need to do a third coat in the first room and then at least the ceilings are back to white! Whew, what a huge job! I don't like to use an extension pole because I like to get my face up close, so that means lots of up and down the ladder and a very sore back, neck, and arm! The walls will be an even bigger job because I'm changing from blinds to blackout curtains, so I'll need to remove the old window coverings and patch the drywall, then sand it, paint, and then install the new curtain rod. But that is for another weekend, and I need more time to do that. I'll have to take some extra time off work to get that job done.
Why, do you ask? I spent the whole day yesterday doing this:

I received this audiobook for review:

Thanks again, PRH Audio!
I bought this with my Audible credit. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, and my library doesn't carry it:

I sympathise with the back pain! It sounds like it will be looking good when you've finished. Have a great week

LOL, I use an extension pole and my husband when we paint ceilings. I do the cutting in, he rolls!
ReplyDeleteOuch. I remember how sore I was after repainting my room. It’s going to stay blue for a long time because I never want to do that again. Enjoy your new books. Have a great week!

I have always loved house projects but I think maybe I'm getting too old. I hate saying that! My body is also not cooperating as much as it used to do. I have been getting some great books and just need less work hours to enjoy them.
