Even though I didn't manage to finish The End Games, I have about one-third of the book left. If my USB adapter cord didn't conk out on me yesterday, I may have been able to make a further dent into that last bit. Ah, the joys of e-readers! To top it off, I was making excellent progress in On What Grounds and then my iPod just went silent. At first I thought that the battery died - nope, it was still charged. I double-checked the downloaded file on my laptop to ensure that all files were copied to my iPod. Yup, all there. Then, I took a closer look at the files and saw that my last file was Part 52 of 150. Oh, boy - that means that I'm missing Files 53-150!! I emailed the publisher yesterday and received the new download link today but, alas, it was too late for me to make any further progress with that audiobook yesterday. Technology - it's great when it works but when it doesn't...we are lost!
