Mixing It Up Challenge 2012: Wrap-up Post

Hi, everyone!

This is my wrap-up post for Mixing It Up Challenge 2012 hosted by Ellie at Musings of a Bookshop Girl.

CHALLENGE COMPLETE!
10/10 BOOKS READ - 100% DONE!
"MIXING BOWL" LEVEL COMPLETED (BRANCHING OUT WITH 9-12 CATEGORIES)!

I joined this challenge because I like to stretch my boundaries and pick up genres that I don't normally read. Surprisingly, the most difficult one for me to complete was the Modern Fiction genre - and that was the book that I actually enjoyed the most from this list!

Here are the links to my reviews for the books that I read for this challenge:
  1. Horror: The Black Witch by Micheal Rivers (Curse of the Witch, Book 1)
  2. Children's and Young Adult: Crossed by Ally Condie (Matched, Book 2)
  3. Science Fiction and Fantasy: Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan (Sky Chasers, Book 1)
  4. Classics: The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare
  5. Romance: Water Bound: A Sea Haven Novel by Christine Feehan (Sisters of the Heart, Book 1)
  6. Biography: Claudette Colvin: Twice Toward Justice by Phillip Hoose
  7. Crime and Mystery: Sleepwalker by Karen Robards
  8. History: Incans, Aztecs & Mayans by John Holzmann
  9. Science and Natural History: Listening to Crickets: A Story about Rachel Carson by Candice F. Ransom
  10. Modern Fiction: A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving
Thanks again for hosting, Ellie! I hope you will host this challenge again next year!
