The Eclectic Reader 2012 Challenge: Wrap-up Post

Hi, everyone!

This is my wrap-up post for The Eclectic Reader 2012 Challenge hosted by Shelleyrae at Book'd Out.

CHALLENGE COMPLETE!
12/12 BOOKS READ - 100% DONE!

I joined this challenge because I like to stretch my boundaries and pick up genres that I don't normally read. I really enjoyed the genres that Shelleyrae picked out. Surprisingly, the most difficult one for me to complete was the Literary Fiction genre (Task #1). In reviewing the list of books read for this challenge, the book that I read for that genre was my favourite!!

Here are the links to my reviews for the books that I read for this challenge:
  1. LITERARY FICTION: A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving
  2. CRIME/MYSTERY FICTION: Sleepwalker by Karen Robards
  3. ROMANTIC FICTION: Water Bound: A Sea Haven Novel by Christine Feehan (Sisters of the Heart, Book 1)
  4. HISTORICAL FICTION: The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare
  5. YOUNG ADULT: Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan (Sky Chasers, Book 1)
  6. FANTASY: Red Riding Hood by Sarah Blakley-Cartwright
  7. SCIENCE FICTION: Crossed by Ally Condie (Matched, Book 2)
  8. NON FICTION: Claudette Colvin: Twice Toward Justice by Phillip Hoose
  9. HORROR: The Black Witch by Micheal Rivers (Curse of the Witch, Book 1)
  10. THRILLER/SUSPENSE: Blue Monday by Nicci French (Frieda Klein, Book 1)
  11. CLASSIC: The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis (Chronicles of Narnia, Book 1)
Thanks again for hosting, Shelleyrae! I hope you will host this challenge again next year!
