Sci-Fi Summer Read-a-Thon: Starting Line #SciFiJune

The Sci-Fi Summer Read-a-Thon has begun!

Don't you hate it when your library holds on Overdrive come in at the same time?? And neither of them is sci-fi! 😞 I'll have to tackle them first but I promise that I have sci-fi next up!

I am reading some fantasy books aloud to my daughter, which Michelle said did qualify for the challenge since fantasy/sci-fi are often intertwined:

A Dangerous Path
by Erin Hunter
(Warriors, Book #5)

The Journey
by Kathryn Lasky
(Guardians of Ga'Hoole, Book #2)

Next Up:

Fahrenheit 451
by Ray Bradbury

Others on my TBR (not sure what I'll pick next):

Station Eleven
by Emily St. John Mandel

Enclave
by Ann Aguirre
(Razorland, Book #1)

The Remedy
by Suzanne Young
(The Program, Book #0.5)

Shatter Me
by Tahereh Mafi
(Shatter Me, Book #1)

The Hunger Games
by Suzanne Collins
(The Hunger Games, Book #1)

Allegiant
by Veronica Roth
(Divergent, Book #3)

Red Queen
by Victoria Aveyard
(Red Queen, Book #1)

Cress
by Marissa Meyer
(The Lunar Chronicles, Book #3)

The Boy on the Bridge
by M.R. Carey
(The Girl with All the Gifts, Book #2)

Hell Divers
by Nicholas Sansbury Smith
(Hell Divers, Book #1)

The Infinite Sea
by Rick Yancey
(The 5th Wave, Book #2)

Year One
by Nora Roberts
(Chronicles of the One, Book #1)

I will post my updates on Twitter using the #SciFiJune hashtag, and then do a wrap-up post at the end of the read-a-thon on my blog.

Thanks again to Michelle at Seasons of Reading for hosting!

  1. Ohhhhh I've read a couple of these books!

Razorland - It is one of those series where the quality of writing stays the same after multiple books. I've only read up to the third book.

Shatter Me - THE SERIES IS SO GOOD. I'm waiting for the last book to open up at the library.

The Hunger Games - Great series. I believe Book #1 is my favorite out of the three.

Divergent - It was an okay series. I finished it but I didn't love it as much as I thought I would xD

Red Queen - I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES <3 I just finished the last book two weeks ago!

Lunar Chronicles - GREAT Series. I love the retellings and all the characters in the series!

You have a great selections of books there! I can't wait to read your reviews on them when you finish. I hope you'll love them as much as I did!
