High Summer Read-a-Thon: Wrap-up Post #HSreadathon

This is my wrap-up post for the High Summer Read-A-Thon!

I did accomplish my reading goals! I finished the two books that I wanted to finish, and I started the two books that I wanted to start! I actually nearly finished my third book, Cinder, and had just 40 minutes left to listen on the audiobook!

Started But Not Finished:

by Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer

by Marissa Meyer
[listening]

Total Pages Read: 431 pages
Total Minutes Listened: 10 hours, 12 minutes, 18 seconds
Mini-Challenges Completed: 2/2

For some, that doesn't sound like a lot but, for me, that's about my limit because I'm really short on time to myself. Gone are the days when I can read a book a night! Ah, such is life with young kids!

Thanks again to Michelle at Seasons of Reading for hosting this read-a-thon, and also to Nova and Laura who hosted mini-challenges and giveaways!

See you at the next read-a-thon!

  1. Congratulations on meeting your goals for the Read-a-Thon. I didn't have any real goals, just a general plan. I take that back. I did have a goal to have fun -- which I certainly DID. I'll be looking for you at FrightFall.

  3. You did great, Darlene! I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for joining me and I hope you will be with me for FrightFall in October.

I answered this at the blog, but I'll do it here too. WTD = "week to date". =O) I got that update template from my friend Heather at Between the Covers.

    1. Thanks, Michelle! You bet I'll be at FrightFall. I already have the badge up in my sidebar :)

And thanks for solving the mystery of "WTD". For some reason, I just could not figure that out, LOL!

    1. Thanks, Randi! Yes, I had a lot of fun seeing whatever was reading and adding more to my TBR list! I loved Cinder, too! I am enjoying Between the Lines so far.

  5. You're doing better than I am. I did read two books, but I have 3 more going, which are in stall mode because I left them back in Manila.

Is that one an audio book? I always liked the thought of those. I finally bought one and cranked it up. I found out that the concept sounds great, but didn't work out for me. After chapter 1, I got up to get a Sprite. While I was in the kitchen, I washed the dishes. Then I mopped the floor.

The next thing I knew there was silence and chapter 2 was done. I didn't recall any of it. I still have it. I think if I ever wind up in a spot where I am forced to not be able to move, I'll give it a listen. lol

By the way, if you're not doing anything, I am hosting a "Dog Days of Summer" 3-day blog fest if you're interested. It runs from Aug 10-12.

    Cheers!

    1. Thanks, Srivalli! I am really happy with all the books I had lined up for the week. I enjoyed/am enjoying them all! Just one left to finish now, Between the Lines. I did enjoy The Road, but it is tragic!
