January Wrap-up

Did January just fly by, or was that just me?

The nice thing about a late Christmas School Break is that we were still on holidays for a while after New Year's! I didn't go back to work until January 9th, so I was able to get some good reading time squeezed in.

I finished 10 books this month, which is more than usual! Here they are (CLICK ON THE THUMBNAILS TO SEE MY REVIEW):

I ready SO MANY good books last month! I'm not sure if I can choose a favourite because they were all so different. I absolutely loved both non-fiction books, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Unbroken. They were both outstanding! For fiction, I'm going to have to say that The Kite Runner was my favourite because it just hit me right in the gut.

My least favourite read for January was Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus. That one was a disappointment! You can read my review for more details.

I discovered ten new authors and two new series, and I'm definitely planning to continue both of them. I want to read more of Khaled Hosseini, and I already have Ruth Ware's debut (In A Dark, Dark Woods) loaded up on my iPod.

So, how was your January? What was your favourite book? Least favourite? Please let me know in the comments! I'd love to add your favourites to my TBR :)
